Jukskei Club

Jukskei is a South African sport popular among our farming employees and their families. At Du Toitskloof Fairtrade Initiative we aim to motivate participation in sports and recreational activities. Thus, our very own Jukskei club, the Visarende, was founded.

Once a month the Visarende organises a Jukskei day. These days are family-orientated, shifting the focus away from competition, but rather focusing on building good relationships and quality time with family.

The Jukskei club has members that range from young children to retired family members. After each event, the club members have a meal together before heading home.

Although we still have a long way to go to improve Jukskei facilities on the farms, we are overjoyed by the members’ enthusiasm and participation.
