Creative Opportunities with Student 2 Star

In the Southern hemisphere, September brings us spring. It brings us new beginnings and budding vines. This year it has also brought us a brand new art programme that will showcase and grow the beautiful talents of our young children.

The 2Blossom Foundation, together with Du Toitskloof Wines, has initiated a new art mentorship programme; Student 2 Star. Five grade 7 learners from the 2Blossom initiative have been identified to take part in this programme. They will be attending specialised workshops by local artists, creating an artwork with each. These artworks will be exhibited at Du Toitskloof Wines' tasting room as a means to elevate the learners, and also to promote the 2Blossom Foundation initiative.

Student 2 Star is an opportunity for the learners to gain more in-depth experience about what it means to be a professional artist and how to prepare for an exhibition. The learners will be upskilling their talents, playing around with new mediums, working with people from the industry and exploring new ways to express themselves through art.

Du Toitskloof Fairtrade Initiative is excited to see where this new project will take our local young, talented learners and the impact that it will have on the community.

Keep your dates open for 1 March 2024, and support this new initiative by 2Blossom Foundation and Du Toitskloof Wines.
